The M12 has several different cleaning options, including mopping and vacuuming. Its clever design allows the M12 to map a space in six minutes and adjusts its cleaning route accordingly. Its advanced mopping features include dual spinning pads, as well as electronically controlled water and a "True Edge" Adaptive Edge Mopping System that ensures a thorough cleaning of all edges.

The S1 Pro's navigation and mapping capabilities are top-quality, with the internal dToF LiDAR device that allows it to keep the appearance of a slim profile while delivering top-notch object avoidance. It can be driven close to walls without crashing, and avoiding steps, and it also raises its mop automatically when driving over rugs or short-pile carpets. However, it did struggle in the presence of longer-pile carpets and large, thick messes of dried-on debris.
Like many robots like it, the S1 Pro comes ready to take off from the box, and requires only an initial mapping session to learn its way around your home. The map will be displayed in the app and you can add or merge rooms as needed. You can also set virtual boundaries and no-go zones if there's something you don't want your robot to get into.
The S1 Pro does a great job of cleaning up spills from hard floors, thanks to its rotating mop head, which puts 2.2lbs (1kg) of downward pressure on the floor. Its ability to vacuum and mop makes it an excellent option for homes with floors of both types. However, its dependence on Eufy cleaning solutions (which are included in the box) could make it less flexible than other robots that allow you to add your own cleaning products.
